He had prepared himself. He'd spent a good deal of class time estimating body projections and the various angles that a man could come out from with a door his size. He'd also been sure to catch Noah in the hallways to invite him over, because he was quite sure he shouldn't return alone today. The consequences would no doubt be deadly. Or at least so uncomfortable that they would border on deadly.

The walk home was also devoted to last-minute planning, between idle small talk with Noah. The other sage looked absolutely thrilled to finally meet Nayan, and when he'd left the house this morning, Nayan had also looked the same. No doubt both men's eagerness would be overwhelming for anyone caught in the way. Arun certainly did not plan to be caught in the way.

That's why, the first thing he did after opening the door was step slightly to the side, out of any attack pathways that the man inside could have taken from behind the door, and called out to Nayan once he was clear from any hugging launchings.

"Nayan, I'm back. And N-Marlene is here too."

Staring at the door directly in front of him, Arun wondered why he was hesitating in knocking. After the little catastrophe on the Magijournals, he had to admit that he felt a little self-conscious. Though, it wasn't as if Noah was going to throw open the door and laugh in his face. At the most, the other would probably poke fun at him, and by this point, he would be able to handle it. After making a fool of himself in front of who knew how many people over the Magijournals, he should be able to handle the teasing of just one person. Hopefully.

With a sigh, Arun set aside his self-doubting, straightened himself up and knocked twice on the door, shifting back on his heels as he waited for the other sage to open the door. Unwillingly, his mind drifted back to the all too... insightful discussion that he'd been involved in just hours earlier.

Did sages really do it-

No. Stopping that train of thought right there.
